Writing Coach
JK Anowe is an Igbo-born poet, editor, and teacher based in Chicago. His work has appeared in Gulf Coast, The Chicago Reader, Palette Poetry, Arkansas International Review, and elsewhere. He has received support from the Paul & Daisy Soros Foundation and was a Gwendolyn M. Carter Fellow at Northwestern University, where he led workshops, taught writing courses, and held an internship at Northwestern University Press.
Anowe has served as poetry editor/reader for The Nation, Sycamore Review, and TriQuarterly, among others. He currently serves as interviews editor for 20.35 Africa: An Anthology of Contemporary Poetry.
He hopes to help writers elucidate the extraordinariness in their individual stories.
