Writing Coach
Beth Raymer is an author and journalist whose work has been published by New York Magazine, The New York Times, and The New York Times Magazine. A recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship, and a 2026 New York Foundation for the Arts Nonfiction Literature Fellow, Beth has facilitated writing workshops on memoir writing and the personal essay through The National Autonomous University of Nicaragua at Leon and the Jack Kerouac Writing Residency.
Though now based in New York City, Beth grew up in Florida and attended community college and Florida State before receiving her MFA from Columbia University. As a first-generation college student who worked in many different industries before becoming a professional writer, Beth understands and values students from unique backgrounds who struggle to form a cohesive narrative out of their singular, colorful, often bumpy upbringing and academic journey.
