Writing Coach
Amina Kayani is a writer, poet, and editor based in Chicago. Her work has appeared in the Kenyon Review, Florida Review, the Chicago Reader, and elsewhere. She has received fellowships from Aspen Summer Words, the Elizabeth George Foundation, Hedgebrook, and Lambda Literary, and she's taught workshops and writing courses at Purdue University and Ellipsis Writing.
Amina has edited for the Art Institute of Chicago, the Sycamore Review, and Kajal Magazine, and these days she's helping to relaunch Anathema: Spec from the Margins, a British Fantasy Award-nominated magazine for speculative literature by and for queer people of color. She loves helping writers bring their ideas to life in a voice that is entirely their own.
